The Real Real Fine Fine Print…

DBT July 14th, 2011
Out August 2 on FNW Records is the release of a DBTgreatest hits” album called Ugly Buildings, Whores, and Politicians. The mostly excellent liner notes here were written by David Fricke  and the title which had me scratching my head at first is a reference to the 1974 movie Chinatown: Politicians, ugly buildings, and whores all get respectable if they last long enough. Even though all the music here has been previously released the settled laws of physics dictate that any record that has The Living Bubba and World Of Hurt on both ends of it respectively and contains a trip through Zip City without a scratch has to be powered up with hydro electric juice and pretty much a bad ass motherfucker. Since this is coming out on the label that inspired the best record company fuck off song since EMI  it might make sense(while you are wondering why they left off A ghost To Most) to look at this damn good looking Wes Freed cover, conjure up the voice of Johnny Rotten, crank it up and say to yourself in your best fake British accent ATO.
