Solo Patterson will be opening two shows in Germany for Alabama Shakes in November. On Sunday November 4th in Munich at Muffathalle and on Monday November 5th in Berlin at Astra with a special ticket pre-sale going on right now. There is also a Patterson show scheduled in London for Tuesday November 13th with Will Johnson from Centromatic and Craig Finn from The Hold Steady. Other than that I know nothing.

Almost Solo Show Time…

Patterson begins a three night four show solo acoustic run this week with a show on Friday at the Virginia Room inside the historic John Marshall Hotel in Richmond. Patterson has not played a full solo show in Richmond since 2006 and before that in 2003. Some really great priced VIP and general admission tickets are still available for Richmond. Saturday sees Hood on the solo tip again for not one but two shows in Annapolis followed up by a Father’s Day show Sunday at The Birchmere in Arlington,VA. This weekend’s four rare solo acoustic shows should really be unique with songs from Heat Lightning Rumbles In The Distance mixed in with a little Murdering Oscar,Killers And Stars plus stories and songs from DBT. Someday We’ll Hock Our Road Cases…

Either DBT is paying of that big crack dealer or they are getting some new Pretty Road Cases Brand road cases. In any case what’s cool is that some of the old road cases that have been around the world and back are now being made available to the fans. We are talking guitar and bass flight cases as well as several large trunks going back as far as the SRO days. If you are a fan of the rock show we are talking collectors items balls with the stencil and white spray paint included. Let There Be August Rock Shows…

Four new rock shows were announced today. DBT will be making their return to the Orange Peel in Asheville on Friday August 17th and Saturday August 18th. Thursday August the 23rd and Friday August the 24th sees the return of the rock show to the Georgia Theatre in Athens. Tickets for both sets of shows go on sale tomorrow at noon.

Patterson Playing ACL…

Patterson is playing this years Austin City Limits Music Festival on Friday October 12th. Also on the bill that weekend are Neil Young And Crazy Horse,The Black Keys,Jack White and pretty much everyone else who is on the road and is put a record out this year. Also on the bill are the Alabama Shakes who are also playing the same day as Patterson.

We Had Us Some Good Times…

Despite almost a whole month off DBT bought the heat last night for a shorty seventy minute set at Merriweather Post Pavillion. The one off show was part of the Route 29 Music Festival on a bill that also featured Justin Jones and Lucinda Williams. Coming out of the gates with Used To Be A Cop and Uncle Frank minus a Box Of Spiders/Cartoon Gold interlude we were in for a night of straight up hydro electric juice until the last notes of Shut Up And Get On The Plane echoed off the stage and up the hill and into the woods.
