Homecoming Hangout 2/16/18; UPDATED WITH PRIZES
WHERE: Max Canada, 243 W. Washington St, just down the street from the 40 Watt
WHEN: 1-4 pm, Friday Feb. 16
WHA?!: The Hangout! The hangout.
Homecoming weekend is great, but it can be a little hectic. I know it's hard for me, even staying in town for a week, to see and talk to everybody I want to. So a few years ago 3DD started hosting a gathering for DBT friends to talk, eat, and drink in a more relaxed setting than the rock show. It's become one of my favorite parts of the weekend. You should go!
This year's Hangout will be at Max Canada. They'll have plenty of space for us, and attentive and friendly bartenders. It's a cool spot. They don't serve food, but outside food is okay to bring, and we'll have some light snacks set up.
All your friends will be there. And if you don't know anybody, go! Seriously. This is a great gathering. And if the promise of warm fellowship isn't enough, there'll be prizes: we're having a raffle there to benefit Nuci's Space, and there will be some truly killer stuff you could win. More on that later...
See you all there!

For those who purchased "Always Go to The Show" T-shirts, and opted for the "Will Pick Up At Homecoming", this is the time and place to get your shirts.
If you haven't ordered one, or don't know what this is about, follow this thread.

Can't wait to see everyone soon!
Don't forget to join us at the Hangout at Max Canada on Friday. We will have a food truck from a local Jamaican food restaurant, Rashe's Cuisine, available to anyone who is interested.
http://www.rashecuisine.com/page3.php They will be cooking up some finger foods for us to enjoy.
If that's not your favorite type of food, don't worry, there are tons of other restaurants in the area that you can get something at and bring over to Max.
We'll be having some pretty big raffle prizes this year, to benefit Nuci's of course. Come join us, all are welcome!

Leaving aside the issue of what do you mean you're not attending (i'm looking at you, clams), let me know if u want me to buy you tix. Because it's homecoming wkend and therefore more woodstock than woodstock (to read the descriptions in the other thread, anyway ) I'll even trust you to be good for the dough. And yes I will keep all entries separate.

So I'm not buying you any raffle tix?

Thanks bubba, I'll get back to you on that. I'm hoping those not attending can somehow buy entries online- you'd definitely sell a lot more if us non-attendees could buy directly.beantownbubba wrote:Clams wrote:It is true, I'm out this year. Re: Homecoming Hangout 2/16/18; UPDATED WITH PRIZES
I will buy some raffle tickets for sure but won't be getting there until right at show time Friday. Have to work and drive from SC.
Maybe everyday is Saturday morning...
Re: Homecoming Hangout 2/16/18; UPDATED WITH PRIZES
Apologies, but we are not able to offer online chances. The only option is to have someone purchase a chance for you. That someone is responsible for keeping track of the ticket numbers and getting the item to you should you be the winner
Always go to the show

Re: Homecoming Hangout 2/16/18; UPDATED WITH PRIZES
Folks, selling raffle tickets online is subject to multiple state laws and can be illegal in some states altogether. We're neither ready or qualified to take something like that on. In this case we are representatives of Nuci's Space and have to abide by non profit (and gambling) rules. I hope everyone understands.

I’ll be buying tickets for a friend, and he’ll probably win.

Re: Homecoming Hangout 2/16/18; UPDATED WITH PRIZES
Speaking of rules, I suggest that we adopt a new one which requires every first time HC attendee to buy Rod a drink and commiserate with him while he tells you about the lows and the highs and tells you how to tell the difference between what they tell him is a truth or a lie and how to do the right thing anyway.
