Re: What's Everyone Drinking?
excited as hell for this to come out, not sure when it will be available. Hoping to taste some ASAP. Crux is an amazing brewery in Bend, maybe the best beer in town. At this point Deshchutes may be only the 2nd or 3rd best beer in Bend, and that is saying something. Only a few years old but they hit the ground running and do great work. We had a great session there two weeks back and every single different style we had was stellar.

that's the Coast Guard House on the can! My mother-in-law lives up the road from there. Had many a drink up on the deck. Have yet to have a Narragansett that I liked, though haven't had this one.Clams wrote:Rhode Island, baby.

made with 100% Australian hops (Ella, Galaxy, Topaz and Vic Secret ). Excellent hop flavors, nice and big on the citrus, but coming in at nearly 9% it is a bit more malty on the mouthfeel than I prefer (my typical take on Imperial/Double IPAs and also on a lot of Stone offerings).

I'm looking to make some beer trades. I'm sitting on a case of Pliny (bottled on 08/13/2015). If I had my wishes, I'd like to trade a few Pliny for a few Heady Toppers.

not yet. Have had a lot of Green Flash offerings and always find them to be solid, OK, but never exceptional.tinnitus photography wrote:anyone try this yet?

Re: What's Everyone Drinking?
a problem out here for Green Flash is that there are so many amazing beers from the San Diego area and California in general that they don't really standout, they kind of get lost in the shuffle. In the world of West Coast/San Diego hoppy beers it's pretty difficult to separate from the packtinnitus photography wrote:i think the West Coast one is really great, esp on draft.
Speaking of California brewers, Heineken has bought 50% of Lagunitas

Just created "not juice"
1 bottle of white rum
1/2 cup orso of sweet and sour mix
4 single serve bottles of Mascal
Ginger ale, to you taste
1 can cut pineapple chunks w/juice
1 jar red cherries
use cherry juice to make a simple syrup with powdered sugar, to taste
1 sliced red delicious apple
toss it all in a 1 gal pitcher, serve over ice

Re: What's Everyone Drinking?
from Eel River over in Fortuna, CA (Humboldt County). Nothing spectacular but I think it's above their usual product. Their niche is being all organic and I tend to be totally behind them EXCEPT for the fact that so many of their offerings are just OK. Had this on tap at a local pizza joint we now seem to hit every Friday

Re: What's Everyone Drinking?
day late on this but had a big session of this on cask yesterday at the brewery. Extremely rare that I go to the brewery and only drink one style but yesterday for me it was all Hop Hunter (Cask) all the time
