What's Everyone Drinking?

This forum is for talking about non-music-related stuff that the DBT fanbase might be interested in. This is not the place for inside jokes and BS. Take that crap to some other board.

Stoli orange, local skunk weed, and cheap chocolate.
Now it's dark.

Dogfish Head has returned to the Upper Midwest!

I've also been drinking these over the past few days:

Enjoyed all 3 of these immensely.

My CWC teacher is a huge Dogfish Head fan and is constantly bringing me stuff he gets from out of state friends. Hopefully it is in St. Louis! Loved that Burton stuff I had last night.

I'm not sure why, but they pulled out of the Midwest a few years ago. I haven't seen them back in Iowa or Minnesota, but they're definitely in Wisconsin (where I do about 25% of my beer purchasing). Found a full array of Dogfish Head in a LaCrosse WI liquor on Sunday and stocked the fuck up.

I think a couple of their beers, well maybe just 120 Minute, are a little overrated, but they have a lot of great beers and really push the envelope. I'm very glad to have them back.

That Hellhound is the SHIT! I got one last year in FL. Need to get another one soon, maybe this year if I can make it down there. Just drank one of the 90 minute IPAs tonight that a friend brought back from FL. We can't get them in AL.

Yeah it is. I'm on my second glass (probably knocking off the bomber tonight) and it's better than the first. My beer fridge was a little on the cold side (as is the room it's in) so it's starting to breathe a little more. Fucking delicious.

That circle of Busch Light that surrounds Iowa is incredibly accurate. It is far and away the go-to "drink a bunch of cheap swill beer" in this part of the world.

My first beer was a Busch Light.

NE Brewing Co. recently changed the recipes for Gandhi Bot & Sea Hag. Both were so much better before. Another one bites the fuckin' dust.

Fuck that noise. I enjoyed both the Bot & the Hag to a considerable amount. Sea Hag was a great "drink a shit load of these" type IPA.

Not noise, fact. The Hag & Bot you drank were the old recipe. They changed the recipe a couple of months ago. I still will drink both, but I preferred the old recipe to the new one.

Did they get bought by a different brewery or something? I've seen this type of thing happen before, and they almost never improve the product.

No. Same company. They did recently move to a larger facility which quadrupled their space and enables them to distribute at a much higher level.

Fortunate for me, my parents live about 10 minutes from Rehoboth Beach, and me close enough to get most of what they ship. I could not get into the Aprihop. I think there are still a few bottles sitting in the way back of my fridge. Craziest beer I've had by them was ChocLobster. That would be a chocolate, lobster beer. All I can say is I've tried it. Their experimentals are a little too experimental for me sometimes.
When the lights came up we all went home but never quite the same.

Helltown DIPA w/ galaxy hops. It's a small, local brewery, but if you ever get the chance to try it, DO!
