I wasn't sure where to post this, so here it is.
Great video from a recent Country Music Hallof Fame ceremony where a long lost suit that was worn by Chris Ethridge, from the Flying Burrito Brothers, was added to a display at the Hall. I've long thought that Chris co-wrote the Burritos best song, Hot Burrito #1, and he co-wrote one of Gram's best solo songs, She. He played on lots of cool albums (Ry Cooder, Randy Newman, etc) and he was Willie Nelson's bass player for a long time. I never hear the guy get any recognition though so it's awesome to see the Hall of Fame do this.
Chris was from Meridian, Mississippi and it was a nice touch to have Meridian natives Pat Sansone from Wilco and drummer Adam Box from Brothers Osborne playing at the ceremony. Pound for pound, I think Meridian may have produced more great musicians than any other town.
And my wife was born there.

Britt Daniel of Spoon looks like Nick Lowe, Steve Forbert, & a young Shane MacGowan had a love child
From certain angles there’s some Gary Busey in there as well

A greatly slimmed down (read: layoffs) Pitchfork is now a part of GQ Magazine.

Not sure where this should go so I guess that means it goes here.
Excellent column in the WaPo today about the joys of music, its place in our lives and its ability to link families and generations.
