Thanks. Though I've been familiar with David Childers for a while this was my first time seeing him with the Overmountain Men.
Ha, a Johnny Horton cover in there.
I found his "Hard Time County" album in Nashville recently and grabbed it up. Top notch songwriting and country/soul singing.

Never was real big on that one but I love "If You Wanna Get To Heaven", as well as it's inclusion in the opening sequence of Dancing Outlaw (specifically around the :49 second mark).
local band named after the NIN song "Head Like a Hole"
they have somewhat outgrown their early influences. I like them a lot: loud as hell, sense of humour, not just lurve songs. They do a killer cover of that guy Bruce somethings song "I'm on Fire".
they have a new album coming out in february.
I've never taken a pissbreak during a DBT show but if I had it would have been during Dancing Ricky.
David and David-" Welcome To The Boomtown" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97wvwuHUMCw
Anyone else familiar with this song ? A local Jackson, Tennessee talk show host opened his show with this tune a couple weeks ago and I haven't been able to get it out of my head.
"deals dope out of Denny's, keeps a table in the back"....this song is fantastic.
Athens Joe wrote:'Patience for the Ride' by Centro-matic. Does anyone know what 'corporate mess' it is referring to? Insurance company greed after a hurricane maybe?
I don't, but for years I erroneously heard it as "corporateness".
