And another candidate for the "where are they now" category: Zoe Muth. Where is another album from her? Been way toooooo long.
Porkster!
Pretty sure Zoe's absence is due to having had a baby last year.
In the meantime, if anyone's pining for that Caitlin/Zoe sound, I'd highly recommend checking out Margo Price's Midwest Farmer's Daughter and/or Dori Friedman's self titled.
i saw something on caitlins facebook page saying shes working on it, so thats promising. doesnt sound imminent but still a good sign
that margo price album didnt have much staying power for me to be honest. she knows her way around a song but thats not enough to keep me interested. felt like there were too many moments where she tried too hard to ape a specific sound, and that tends to bug me unless theres a ton of personality behind it. when it came off natural i dug it and ill definitely keep following her anyway
I don't listen to this record nearly enough and that's a shame. Not a bad song on it and the closer Are You Ready To Be Heartbroken? is one of the best lovers laments of all time.
I guess I'm breaking the rule of not listening to the band on the day you're seeing them live but I need to familiarize myself with this one a little more.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved
This is a pretty far out album! Someone here casually mentioned it but I had no idea what it was all about or all the guests that sat in on it. Loving it on first listen
