There is an excellent Philly area collection of DBT fans.

True. I forgot to mention that one guy.....
I just want to stay in that better time and place....

Obviously did not know that. Assuming the move is for all good reasons, yes, definitely excellent news; a local institution. Does this mean I need to adjust my plans for Friday afternoon? <wink, wink, nudge, nudge>
I think we've outgrown a house party. Joe's new house is also smaller than his last one. I'd assume we do Transmetropolitan again unless folks have other ideas

You got my meaning but I like lynne's interpretation better.

There once was a lighter named pickle
Its tastes were said to be fickle
its picture was made
quite like a parade
and we all needed a glass of George Dickel
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved
If I was Pickle Lighter
I'd show up most everywhere
But if you came looking for me
You would never find me
Drink my whiskey from crystal glasses
Do cocaine off of strippers' asses
There once was a dill from Nantucket
Who was brined in a large copper bucket
At a Rock Show one day
From his owner he'd stray
Telling the Flea to go fuck it.
There once was a picklish lighter,
A lover, not much of a fighter,
Who was kidnapped one day,
From a rock show they say,
So now we clutch our pickles tighter.
The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

Will be great to see you both again. Bet we meet at the airport too on the way back home.

I would be happy to arrange the HeAthens Homecoming Hang-Out again this year at the Transmet. We have definitely outgrown the house party.

In for all 3 nights. Plan is to have my wife and 13 yo son join me on Thur. night for their first DBT show. Anyone know if there will be any issue with entry for my son? I see teenagers there every year (especially on rock camp night), but wondered if I need to clear with 40 watt first?
I'm in for all three. Unsure at this point whether I'll have my dog this time, but I'll be staying again in this cool Victorian right off downtown. If you are hard up for housing and you are extremely nice, I might be able to help.
Tickets are available for purchase at the 40 Watt. I've got tickets to all three nights for my first Homecoming! Any tips on breaking the news to my wife?

Now officially in for all 3 nites. Phew! Cheaper service fees and easier ordering process too.

Several methods have been discussed in past years. You might check out the '15 & '16 threads, although you'll have to wade through a lot to find what you're looking for. My preferred method is to suggest that my wife might like to take a long wkend to see her best friend/go to a spa/ see X's new baby/see the great [insert favorite hobby convention or exhibit in a great city here], either that wkend (if u dont have kids) or some other wkend (if you do).
Stick with it: At this point, homecoming weekend is an accepted part of our annual calendar, no quid pro quo needed*
*To all the wise guys who might be tempted to point out all the ways in which the scales are adjusted, just shut up and allow me my delusions.

Tell her she has a long weekend to herself.
Turn you demons into walls of goddamned noise and sound.

Except you run the risk that she might realize how much she likes it.
