Tahoe, Baby
Rolling into South Lake around 3:00 pm, checking into the Montbleau and looking to pregame. I'm sure I'll connect with WWCD and LBRod by default. Looking forward to seeing some old faces and meeting some new. Let's party!

probably will get there after you, though there's a chance we could pass along the road! We may stop in Truckee at the Tahoe Mountain brewery, depends on what kind of time we are making.bovine knievel wrote:Rolling into South Lake around 3:00 pm, checking into the Montbleau and looking to pregame. Also staying at the Montbleau, just ask for the room for Clifton Hanger

Always good to make time. You wanna be careful on those mountain roads, though.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:probably will get there after you, though there's a chance we could pass along the road! Great ending to a 4 show run with OBL, LBROD, and Allison with Worldwide on injured reserved. Allstar substitutions from Sacto, Bovine and WWCD. 90 minute due to casino curfew--did not disappoint. I'm speculating that scary motherfucker Harold may have passed on. Patterson gave a detailed account of the backstory that no one had ever heard. Short version--Written well before that last scene in Pulp Fiction "there were guns and bullets, the person who got the most bullseyes gave the other person a blowjob". Show over at 10:30. We all headed to the casino bar for some quality post game time. Bonus Patterson showing up at 1:00 to shoot the shit for an hour

Hey, I was in Sac also, so for my part it wasn't so much a substitution as a return from two days of personal leave
The Margo and Harold story was indeed one for the ages
Always great to run with longtime amigos like Bovine, Rod, Bill, OBL and also to finally meet Allison and jonicont (though after meeting him finally in Sac I feel like I have known him for a long time). Also's Bovine's longtime running partner Harp, a true madman! My wife had a blast, she always loves a hot DBT show, and she hung in at the bar for a pretty long time, but she left at a semi-reasonable (for a DBT Saturday night!) time so she could run the next morning while I slept it off Also good to meet lurker Mark and drommel, who really looks exactly like his avatar pic.
Also, it's not getting any traction yet but I'm not gonna give up on establishing "Billis Reed" as a new nickname for Worldwide
Not impressed one bit with the room, its layout and tables up to the stage, and for god's sake, Montbleu, a light or two in the back wouldn't hurt. It was literally stumbling around in the pitch black dark if you had to make your way out to the bar or bathrooms, It gave me a Shining feeling that wasn't any fun

Re: Tahoe, Baby
the biggest question I have after this weekend:
where the hell is that damned lighter?
Yeah, I got to have some long, detailed conversation with Patterson, and I saw a tremendous show with a big bunch of really good friends, but the lighter never showed its face. What gives?

It seems you don't have what it took to meet the pickle on this run.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:the biggest question I have after this weekend:

That just motivates me to grind harder and work more to up my game. A lesser 3DDer might say, "fuck it, that's all I've got," and give up on meeting the pickle. Not me. Hey pickle, I'm coming for you!!!LBRod wrote:It seems you don't have what it took to meet the pickle on this run.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:the biggest question I have after this weekend:
