So, I was at the grocery checkout today and was waiting in line and noticed a Bic pickle lighter amidst all the other crap they have out to try and get you to buy. I bought it.

X2 a couple of weeks ago. I burst out laughing and had to explain why to the people around me. Oddly, they didn't seem to find the humor in the situation.RMD wrote:So, I was at the grocery checkout today and was waiting in line and noticed a Bic pickle lighter amidst all the other crap they have out to try and get you to buy. Great way to end my trip to SF. You kind of knew what was going to happen when Cooley unleashed One of These Days as the second song. Patterson and Cooley seemed to be trying to out do each other as the set progressed.
Big thanks to OBL, LBRod and Jonicont for helping make the trip so good. As always great to see his world wideness and Allisondc.

Re: The Fillmore SF Oct 6 & 7
Just this morning, I was regretting again the bad luck that kept me from cashing in my frequent flyer miles for these shows, when I decided I must do something, anything, to get myself going for the weekend. "Cleaning," I realized, "that needs done and I'm in a mood to do it." So on with Songs of Leonard Cohen and on with cleaning. Old credit card receipts on the bed, nearly two years old. And what's this, folded up? Why, it's a ticket to The Fillmore, from two years ago.
It's like an omen, but after the fact. Now I'm going to play that one Leonard Cohen song over and then get back to cleaning.

The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

Dog, really wish you were going to Tahoe. Glad as can be we got to finally meet and hang out a bit, but as always there are so many people and everything is a flurry of activity, leading to not a ton of quality time.dogstar wrote:Night 2

As I was not able to be at the Fillmore last night, we were home and watching Bill Maher. One of the panelists was Pit Bull, who, apparently, is known far and wide as Mr. Worldwide. This cannot be allowed to standdogstar wrote:Big thanks to OBL, LBRod and Jonicont for helping make the trip so good. As always great to see his world wideness and Allisondc.

Last night was an 11. I believe the Bubba buy-in would have been satisfied by the second song
