Not gonna post too much on the phone but yesterday was just an awesome day from start to finish. Really nice putting so many faces to names at the 3DD meet up, had a phenomenal lunch at Last Resort, had the pleasure to walk into the 40 Watt w Clams.. The look on his face when he saw the first tee shirt was priceless. Hung w UT Heathen and his buddy for the whole show, two of the nicer dudes you could hope to hang with.. Cooley opening w One of these Days and Uncle Frank?! Mid show Get Your Ass on the Plane? Whew!! I had a Bulliet old fashioned and cheese burger for breakfast. See you all at Nucis Space
And Lydia Loveless was one hell of an opener!

Amazing show. Wish I was going again tonight. Then again, I may not be out of recovery mode by then.

A woman's touch is hard to leave, unless you have to go to Spain or something like that.

Agree with Tom. Company I Keep & Do it Yourself would be cool.
Epic show. One of the best ever!
Cooley wore a shirt advertising a food truck in Austin called Mrs. P's Electric Cock.
A hilarious moment was when Cooley reached for the acoustic for LTBR & nearly played it. He looked like he couldn't quite figure out what was wrong.
Off to the Nuci's auction at 4:30, hope to see you there!

Thanks Big Tom. Much appreciated!! Listening to last nights show as a warmup. Wife and I just talking about making the pilgrimage to the 40 watt in 2017 (upon retirement). Work schedule does not allow it at this time so we love the live stream about this time each year. What is the starting time tonight?

Has there ever been a cover more perfectly matched between song and band than Play it all night long and DBT? IOW, this totally should be a PH song. I'm not saying it's the "best cover ever" which i suppose is odd but I feel like there's a difference. Like "All Along the Wtchtower" isn't a Jimi Hendrix song even though Henrix owns it. I don't know if that makes any sense.

Roy Moore is a goatfucker.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

I am with you on that. They do several great covers, but none as good as this one. Dare I say....maybe better than Warren's version. And I say that as a big Zevon fan! I'm gonna hurl myself against the wall (great nod to Ain't That Pretty at All)

Jay and Matt. Matt and Jay. They have brought some serious magic to a band that was pretty fuckin' magical to start with.
Nobody's ever gonna bring songs like Jason brought and I'm sure that when the guys were younger there were nights of wild abandon that will never be seen again, but for my money, this is the best iteration of the band when it comes to flat out playing, and it's not like the previous players were slouches. This band has that elusive synergy where 2 = 3 equals a lot more than 5.
