When people asked me who Hood/Cooley was, I told them they were bringing their campaign
to town April 11th :D and they would really like H/C's perspective on things.
and that pussy Alec Baldwin blew that girl away, and speaking of pussy Steve got it all!

Hogtown doesn't deserve DBT. The whole place smells like stale vomit and everyone there is inbred.
I'm sleeping under strange, strange skies.

A gave some friends in nearby Alachua, FL a heads up about this show but unfortunately they're going to be out of town.

Just a quick recap before I'm out the door. Great time in Gainesville last night. Centro-Matic brought it. Patterson, Jay and Brad joined
them at the end. I don't think I've seen 2 drummers since the 70's :D
DBT was on fire, I was floored, not only by the band but by some out of control drunk. It was during "The Co. I Keep" There was no wall
and the stage was about thigh high. I was giving Marina a break and he came outta no where and totally blindsided me. I went down
hard. My elbow of my camera hand hit the stage as I tried not to lose the shot. I wanted Marina to grab the camera but it's a good thing
she didn't cause I was pissed! If he hadn't tripped when he hit me he would have went head first into Patterson's guitar. When I got back
to my feet I looked back at our friends Matt and Steve and we all nodded at each other. The drunk guy was now between Jon and me.
I continued filming and trying to calm down but when he lifted both arms over his head I put my non-filming elbow in his chest as hard
as I could and my friends behind us did the rest, he was gone but would return further down the stage during PWD. I wonder if Matt
would let me sit in the booth and film next time.
Well so much for quick. We brought some newbies. They sat right behind the booth and had the best seats in the house. The owner of
the venue even bought them drinks. I'll post a set list soon. Oh and Neff repeated his Jimmy Page impersonation during PWD :D

I thought the Pensacola was as good as it gets until last night blew it out of the water. The band took it to another level last night from an energy standpoint. Cooley seemed to be having an absolute blast. Patterson was climbing all over the place by the last tune. Neff doing the rock star thang. Even Brad seemed to be into it more than usual. The venue was hot and pretty ragged...perfect for DBT I guess! Oh and the unveiling of the back drop caught me totally off gaurd. Maybe someone will post a picture.

4th Night of My Drinking

I'm Eighteen
3 Dimes Down
Used to Be A Cop

Marry Me (This one soared!!)
Lookout Mountain
When the Pin Hits the Shell
Sinkhole
Gravity's Gone

Hell No I Ain't Happy

Great show, lots of energy. Centro-matic was great. It was awesome when Hood and EZB and Jay came out and did a couple of songs with them. Never imagined I would hear The English Beats' Save it for Later with Will Johnson and Patterson... That was pretty cool. the Trucker set was tight. I liked that venue. It was rough but had great site lines and had an intimate feel and ez beer access. I last saw them in San Fran last month and while the Fillmore is a great place, It was large, sold out, and a total different feel. After seeing DBT about 25 times, they are what I like to consider venue sensitive. Never have seen a bad show but certain places just fit. A couple of songs into it, they started up with Used to Be a Cop and the sound just didnt seem right, kinda muffled and just off. I look over next to me (I was in the middle on the second tier) the sound guy(can;t remember his name) had an Ipad out that had some kind of mobile mixing app on it and he was flipping switches and changing things at the speed of light a minute later the sound was perfect. Thank You Mr. Soundboard mixer dude! I agree it looked like Cooley was really having fun and with Smiley dropping heavy beats behind him, the right side of the stage was a happy place. Great to hear Sweet Annette with the fiddle. I always enjoy the mayhem of People who Died. Ran into EZB on the way to the car stopped for a quick photo and off to Jax arriving home at 2:30 for a 6am wake up ........ In the shower this morning singing ......"Sometimes I feel like shit.....Sometimes that aint the half of it"
Great Fun

I really liked that venue and your right about the sight lines. Sorry I didn't see your pre-game post till we got home.
Cooley was having a blast. I know he's seen them but when he first came on stage he looked straight at my Hood/Cooley
shirt on got a big ole grin. To bad they didn't play "Elected" instead of "18"
Only real disappointment of the night was not getting "Aftermath".
