DBT Stats

Post by CooleyGirl »

:ugeek: Yes, I am a dork and keep a spreadsheet of all our DBT shows, 52 so far and counting. :ugeek:
I'm extremely lucky to have a hubby who loves them as much as I do. We both work at schools so we are lucky and get lots of vaca time, and we're both willing to travel to see them. (Which is good since we've only seen them in our home state of CT twice).

Here are the stat breakdowns, through Philly on 1/1/11.
Shows are only counted when it is the entire band, so does not include Patterson solo shows or things like that.

2006 - 1 show, London
2007 - 0 shows
2008 - 7 shows
2009 - 11 shows
2010 - 32 shows
2011 - 1 show (so far, got tix purchased for 6 more so far)

During that time, here are the songs we've seen and the number of times we've seen (or not seen) them:

Nerd!

And I love you for it.

Due to your influence I did a few calculations regarding new songs/deep catalog. It took 18 shows over three years before I attended one where every song played that night was one I had heard at a previous live performance. And considering all shows I have ever attended, 74% contained at least one "new to me live" song (both new material and back catalog). That's damn impressive.

ps where are the graphs? :D

I am entirely too ADD to do this. I've been to a lot of shows and heard a lot of damn fine songs and it's just a miracle I can remember them today. No way I could go back and retrace these facts & figures.

Good for you for having a brain that works that well!

It's strange, I haven't been to near as many shows as you (7? I think) and I've caught most of the songs you've missed (of course, all of those shows were between 2004-2007)

Hres the ones you missed I've seen (atleast once, only DBT shows:)

In The Midnight Hour
Back of a Bible
Birmingham
Boys From Alabama
Buford Stick
Careless
Danko/Manuel
Home Front
Margo and Harold
Outfit
Something's Got to Give Pretty Soon
Too Much Sex (Too Little Jesus)
Wife Beater

Did you keep your own setlists? I fail to do that much of the time, and love OneOfTheseDays.org for that. I'm still missing some though. Like, the Ryman the night of the Rock and Roll Means Well Halloween show.

If you can't find the setlists on Oneofthesedays.org, you can check http://db.etree.org/bs_d.php?artist_key=4437

its a traders database, but its also useful for setlists

Aha! I was at that one...see it all comes flooding back now...don't know about the setlist though...I think the old 9b posts held a lot of this treasured data

Of course you were, with your cleaning outfit on!

Smitty, thanks. But I think Lurleen is right. The Ryman didn't seem like a taping friendly kind of place, and whatever was out there may be lost to the ages with 9B.

I want to do this for my shows too. I know all the dates of the shows I've seen (due to oneofthesedays.org), but some of the setlists aren't on there (like Portland, OR 2003). It lists only the pre-SRO songs from my first show (12/13/01), when I'm certain they played some songs from SRO as well.

I rely on One of These Days for the setlists. Although, UR tells me he remembers more songs from the London 2006 show than are listed on there, so I take it with a grain of salt.

Yes, I fully admit to being a nerd. :ugeek:

It makes the shows that much more fun (not that they're not fun anyway) to see if we'll get a song we haven't heard live yet, or maybe get one we've only heard once.

Hey everybody, thanks for the kind words about the site. I just wanted to remind everybody that I don't actually go to all of the shows (if only I could), so I have to rely on the sometimes shaky recollections of the lucky people who do go to the shows. If you ever see an error in a setlist, please let me know and I'll try to fix it as quickly as possible.

I should also thank those of you who go to the shows and religiously post the setlists. The site couldn't exist without you! The recent European tour was a great example of the (literal) lengths that DBT fans will go to to support the band, and I truly appreciated the daily updates from each of you.

Thanks again--

oneofthesedays isn't always right. If I can, I try to cross check them with archives or db.etree.
But thank you CG. I compiled some stats too and now I don't feel so weird.
Since 2003, we've seen them 32 times + an in-store (actually outside-store)
7 states
15 cities
Unfortunately I don't have set list for the 2005 Fla/Ga show in Jax or the 2006 show
in Gainesville.
Based on what I do have; Top 5
Zip City 23 times
PPotM 20
WWW 19
3DD 19
LM 18
I've seen Dead,Drunk & Naked followed directly by Guitar Man Upstairs 11 times
and Guitar Man Upstairs once by itself.
Every thing off SRO except Moved and Cassie's Brother a least once
LTBR 17
SuaGotP 13
RaN 12
AaF 10
and that pussy Alec Baldwin blew that girl away, and speaking of pussy Steve got it all!

Seen them in Athens, Atlanta, Asheville, Greenville SC, Charlotte, Charleston SC, Myrtle Beach, Hunter Mtn NY, Haarlam NE, think thats all.

No way I can take the time to see how many times I caught a certain song live, but can name the songs I have not caught live.(*probably wont catch it live)

Mrs. Dubose*
Late for Church*
Greenville to Baton Rouge.
Sandwiches for the Road
Demonic Possession
Days of Graduation
Three Great Alabam Icons + Wallace
Cassie Brother*

Mrs. Claus Kimono*

Eyes like Glue
Presidents Penis is Missing*
Wheres Eddie
Keep on Smilin(not a studio release but they play it plenty and man I want to see it live.)

Dont think I have seen any off of Go Go Boots yet. Neither song off of the Womans a Living Thing Single.

32 shows in one year?! Damn. That's more than I've seen in 6 years of seeing them (although just barely).

That is pretty impressive. I don't think I could see or would try to see them that many times regardless of money/skipping work/etc. I've seen a band that many times in a year, and it was just too much. Granted they weren't DBT, but I still started out enjoying their music.

Yep. It helps in my job, though, you gotta be if you're dealing with Immigration!

Hey, thanks for sharing, it is really interesting to see who has seen what, and how often. I find it fascinating. :ugeek:
