Re: Homecoming 2019 questions
I recently booked a 2 bedroom condo near the 40 Watt with a cancellation policy (up until 5 days before check-in). I'll lose about $50 if I have to cancel, but even if the dates change I can hopefully just move my reservation. But it's worth it, 2 bedroom condo with a full kitchen for about $350 che...

The only 4 I'm REALLY chasing, but will probably never get, are these:
A Blessing and a Curse
Nine Bullets
Daddy's Cup (for Tracy, it's my least favorite from TDS)
Cottonseed

They're wrong. I was at those shows & there are recordings.Bill in CT wrote: Oneofthesedays.org says Don’t Cock Block The Rock was played at Homecoming in 2015. I was there and don’t recall this being played.
oneofthesedays.org is fantastic but for the years the website was AWOL their stats are a little shaky.

Re: PH's "People Who Died" List
In PH's rendition of "People Who Died," does anybody know who all the people are that he lists during the slower part of the song, the part when he kneels or even lies prostrate? I've picked up a few, but am nowhere near deciphering all of them. Does he use the same/a similar list each time? It dep...

My 16 year old daughter is moving in with us but we're most likely still in. She likes going to DBT shows & wont mind missing a day of school. Will probably buy tickets tomorrow at the regular sale to make sure we get them & make a decision later. If we have to sell them so be it.

Yeah, I don't remember much about politics as on-stage banter until 2016. There was a decent amount of pro-Obama and anti-Tea Party comments coming from the stage from around 2009 on ("and that motherfuckin' Tea Party says a change is coming round but I'm working at the Walmart & Mary Alice in the ...

Wow, epic set list and show... Seems like, more often than not, the full rock shows interspersed among these "opening slot shows", tend to be more epic. Like they have excess steam to blow off or pent up creative juices they need to get out. Agreed. Seems like every headlining set on off nights fro...

Damn, I forgot the best part. A DBT chant started during the group bow, Patterson changed it to an EZB chant. And EZB danced a little jig. It was a perfect end to an epic show!

Re: House of Blues - Myrtle Beach, SC - 7/12/18
I was going to try to put some coherent words together & review last night's show in Myrtle Beach but it's really pointless. It was your typical run of the mill DBT epic blowout. We've all been to them. At a certain point last night you could just tell shit was getting real. I've been to enough show...

Re: Summer 2018 Wheels of Soul Tour Setlists
There are a lot of good tickets left for Friday's show in Raleigh. I checked the Ticketmaster site and it doesn't look like very many tickets have been sold for any of the sections under the pavilion, other than the 3 closest to the stage. No idea about the lawn as there's no way to check. We decide...

Patterson just confirmed on Instagram that the show tonight will be of the "Dirt Underneath" variety. Venue looks nice but really small. Looks like a great room for an acoustic show.

My absolute favorite was Gil Scott-Heron's "Whitey on the Moon" a few years ago at Homecoming. The band then launched into Puttin' People on the Moon as the opener and we were off to the races.

I felt the same way at homecoming, yet I am a novice. Where did you initially sense the show was ending? (I pasted the setlist below to keep you from having to search.) It seems we all knew they were going to bring Lily out for the AHC song. From there I started sensing a figurative crescendo. When...

With release of Adam's House Cat's "Town Burn Down" coming this Fall I'd suspect the earliest we'd see an album of new material would be Spring 2019. Probably more likely it'll be released the following Fall. But anything is possible I suppose.

Re: Setlist (or lack thereof) question
So, IOW, Patterson starts playing and the band is expected to pick up on it right away. Never been in a band, don't know whether this is SOP or not but given the typical problems musicians sometimes have hearing each other on stage this surprises me a little. OTOH, since DBT went to the in ear moni...
