Re: Jason @ Soul Kitchen Mobile 10/10/13

Jason has a fantastic back catalog, it's a shame he doesn't mix up the setlist a little more. I enjoy going to his shows, but if you see a few on the same tour you're pretty much getting the same show every time. Not really a knock, just an observation. I've always thought this. So many great songs...

Best Isbell show I've seen by far out of 5 total. Band was on fire, Isbell sounded clear and on point. Songs all sounded excellent, especially the jammier moments.

Orlando 4/13/12

Tonight felt like a short show but it rocked nonstop. Gravity's Gone til PPotM was an incredible stretch of rock goodness. The setlist as a whole a real DBT style beatdown! The low end was felt throughout the venue. I was back by the board tonight and the floor was rumbling. So the Florida run is in...

Tampa 4/12/12

Solid show, though it never quite took off like Gainesville. Matt was fired up when Cooley started Women Without Whiskey. He brings so much enthusiasm to the whole deal. Looking forward to tonight, wrapping up the FL run. It's been a blast but I need some sleep! Bulldoziers and Dirt (Scott on fiddle...

Re: THE Gainesville thread

I thought the Pensacola was as good as it gets until last night blew it out of the water. The band took it to another level last night from an energy standpoint. Cooley seemed to be having an absolute blast. Patterson was climbing all over the place by the last tune. Neff doing the rock star thang. ...

The boyz borught the heat last night! They were all dialed in and tight. Lots of energy and enthusiasm. Neff even did a lttle shimmie during his solo in Company I keep. Scott from Centromatic joined the band for Tornadoes and Let There Be Rock, adding violin to the mix. It worked really well with To...

Re: DBT Track #99-100 Easy On Yourself/Daylight

Both songs get a bad rap. Both are as solid as anything else he's done imo. I actually prefer that acoustic version of Easy On Yourself to the studio version. Daylight works. The big vocal is appropriate and Jason hits it just right in the studio release. Live, idk. I haven't heard enough versions t...

Fun show, one of the better 400 Unit gigs i've seen. It was cool to get a a longer set last night thatn I'm used to seeing. Show just finished. Another solid gig, lots of joking and whiskey tonight, everyone in good spirits. They seem to have gotten an shot of energy lately. Small crowd. The Saenger has great sound. JTE was great, Jason played most of his gig. Jason's set: The Magician Go It Alone Goddamn Lonely Love Hea...

Jason and the boys tore it up last night! Great energy, great crowd, Braves chant started by the crowd, Jason groovin and rocking out. I saw him earlier in the year and this show blows that one away. How much of the new stuff was in the set? I'm hoping for a lot, and interested to hear how it sounds live. I have already heard Alabama Pines & Go It Alone from last fall. They opened with Go It Alone. They played Alabama Pines, Heart on a String, and I'm pretty sure We've Met. I should've writ...

I'm still on the fence about coming up for tonight's show. I'll be heading north from FL panhandle. What's the best (safest) route? What should I avoid?
