Pawtucket RI? How the hell are they even going to find it? I'll be there waiting, guys. The Beacon Theater in the Big City! I'm hearing Ronnie Hawkins at The Last Waltz saying "big time, Bill, big time!" In for Pawtucket. Anyone know who will be opening? I should be there! Never been to t...

Re: RIP Dave Lamb of Brown Bird, April 5, 2014
Very cool tribute. I got to talk to Dave a few times in my life. Every time he was so gracious. So kind. Totally interested in my questions and what I had to say. This has been completely heartbreaking. I really feel for Morgan Eve and his family. There was just something so special about him. You c...

http://www.newportfolkfest.net/introducing/joe-fletcher Joe will be at the Newport Folk Fest for the second year in a row. Joining an incredible lineup that includes Beck, Jason Isbell, Old Crow Medicine Show, Justin Townes Earle, Jim James and more. He came up with a great idea to showcase some am...

Kitchen Sessions is a house concert a friend of mine does. www.kitchensessions.net. he has hosted Joe, David Wax Museum, Brown Bird and others and video tapes the shows and puts them online. These are really fun intimate shows.

Re: Artist of the Week 8/13/12 Joe Fletcher & the Wrong Rea
Great writeup. I cannot recommend Joe enough. I've seen tons of live music and tons of bands and there is just something about this band that pulled me in from day one. Joe is a what I would call a true artist. Very much along the lines of people like Jason Isbell, Jeff Tweedy, Patterson Hood, Justi...

Re: A Night With the World's Most Hated Bands
Dave Matthews might not be appreciated on this board, but a lot of other musicians respect him and enjoy his music. I respect him and his band as they're all consumate musicians but in all honesty their music just doesn't do a whole lot for me. When I first heard of the DMB back in the mid-90's I l...

Klosterman is so awesome. These bands are both actually in the Boston area this weekend. Puke. The Dave matthews thing is diffferent as far as Neil goes. he plays a big part in Farm Aid. I hate the guys music but as a businessman (ATO Records) and other stuff he is ok. Neil i'm sure isn't a big fan ...

cool write up. This guy is really good. I don't even know how to pinpoint it, why I'm so addicted to it, but there is just something there. I'm listening mostly to Pope Killdragon because I can't seem to stop listening to it. The first song sounds like it should've been on the Drive soundtrack...and...

Re: R.E.M. Call It A Day
I jumped off the R.E.M. bandwagon because I truly hated Out of Time and although I have come to appreciate a few of the tracks on that record, I still hate it to this day. I did, however, respect the fact that they followed it up with Automatic For The People which I thought was an excellent album ...

Sad Sad day. One of my favorite bands ever. Grew up on them. I can remember skipping school and going to the record store to get Out of Time. Lot of great memories. I saw them on the Monster tour and it was just an incredible show. There is nothing like those Early R.E.M. albums...and I loved a lot ...

This venue is horrible. I almost didn't go to this show because of my experience at the last DBT show there but I'm going (with a little nudge by J. Mascis opening!). Opposed to say Ryan Adams, who doesn't release anything that I give a shit about, atleast MMJ/Jim James knock it out of the park with their non-album/tribute tracks (Goin to Acapulco, All the Best, Lullabys,Legends & Lies) if MMJ or Jim put something out even close to Cold Roses or Jacksonville...

I don't understand what you guys were expecting to be so disappointed by the album...
