Re: 3 Nights at the Fillmore San Francisco, CA 11/20,21 & 22
Well that was fucking cool! My voice is shot. My ears are ringing and I'm sitting at work trying to figure out if I can sleep sitting up and not have anyone notice. Haven't seen the band since Fillmore/2012 and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Wish I could hit either tonight or tomorrow - they were defi...

Re: Harrah's Tahoe South Shore, September 28
I really hope they announce an SF show and I hope Harrah's gave the band a big fat check to play.

Re: Isbell's NY Times article
The first time I saw Jason solo in SF was at Slims when he toured behind his first album. He was sick and was swigging from a handle of Jack throughout the show. Less than an hour into the set, his voice was toast and he ended up cutting the show short and playing some instrumental jam to close it o...

Re: Why doesn't DBT have a bigger indie rock following?
They have benefited from the internet. It's proven a great way for Patterson to engage directly to the fans, either through the band's website or his FB page. And then there are fans who spend time on other band's message boards preaching the DBT gospel. What the internet hasn't done is helped a ban...

Re: Why doesn't DBT have a bigger indie rock following?
Great topic - lots of interesting perspectives. In the pre-internet era, DBT would have been a staple on FM radio. Now, with the demise of the music industry and kids not buying physical copies of albums, I think we need to redefine what success can be. Given all these changes to the industry and ho...

Going to try and make the 4/6 show, just need to arrange a babysitter. Isn't this venue owned by Bob Weir? I know he and Phil both own venues in Me Valley.

Stealin' instruments is such a fucked up thing to do. I hope it gets returned to Patterson pronto.

Re: Best DBT show you ever caught
Great thread - enjoying reading about all these shows. Completely agree that the first time you see a band can have a lasting impression and stick in one's mind as "the best". 5/02/06 at Cain's in San Diego was my first time seeing DBT. Woke up feeling sick, but took a PTO from work and fe...

Re: DBT Track #98: Used to be a Cop
Loved this song from the get-go. Saw them open with it last year at the Fillmore and then a few weeks ago again at the Fillmore and love the evolution of the song in the live setting. The groove is just menacing and creates a film noir like atmosphere. Patterson adds some super distorted pick scrape...

Re: San Francisco – March 16th
That barricade must be some new SF club ordinance. I've never seen it before the DBT show. Late chiming in but EPIC show Friday night. Made driving through blinding sheets of rain + traffic between San Jose and SF for two hours worth it. By the time we got into town, we had about an hour to eat and ...

Re: West Coast 2012 dates
Hey everybody - long time board reader/1st time poster. Super fucking stoked for the DBT Fillmore show next week. Will be my first rock show since having a kid in December. Fond memories of last March's GoGo Boots Fillmore show. I love when band's book a tour to just tour and not promote a specific ...
