Re: Does Humor Belong In Music?
Jimmy Buffett, John Prine, Steve Goodman, Jerry Jeff Walker, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, David Allan Coe. While they may all not be known as "humorists", I'd say several (if not all) were huge influences on Todd Snider. I'd say the Shel Silverstein strain also runs pretty heavily thro...

Re: Does Humor Belong In Music?
Iowan beat me to the Todd Snider shout out. He cracks me up. I discovered him a couple of years ago when searching for solo Patterson Hood shows. Y'all check this out if you haven't...this is an awesome show:

Re: Atlanta at The Tabernacle 10/10
Excellent! It was kickass to meet y'all, too. Your wife took a killer pic of the boys with the guitar picks that Patterson gave them. Re: Favorite Moment From A DBT Show
My first Rock Show on 10/10 at the Tabernacle was loaded with favorite moments. Besides it being my first show, we were able to get front row. It was my twin sons' first concert ever and Patterson hooked them up with guitar picks. Holy shit! I had my phone at the ready getting set to record Cooley's...

Thanks! Were you with the group of folks in front of us in line and beside us on the front row?

Re: Atlanta at The Tabernacle 10/10
Man, this was such a killer show! I saw Cooley solo back in 2011, but this was my first Rock Show. I was highly impressed. I took my wife and kids...it was the boys' first concert. We managed to get front row, right in front of Cooley, and Patterson hooked my boys up with guitar picks. Unforgettable...

Re: Newbies--Introduce yourselves
In fact, I even told my wife in a drunken stupor one time that "I'd suck Mike Cooley's dick". Jesus. Fortunately, I didn't get that drunk at the show. What can I say, though, the man has an effect on me. If your name is Bob, we should talk. Seriously, welcome to 3DD. Hey, at least I never...

Re: Newbies--Introduce yourselves
What's happening, y'all. This place looks like a great home for DBT fans, can't wait to get to know y'all better. My appreciation for the band has grown exponentially over the last 3 years. I love the band as a whole, but I gotta admit I'm a major Cooley fan. I got to see him on the 21st and it was ...
