Re: Seattle Feb 3 2018

So I figured I'd get some crap for not gushing about the show. I've been going to DBT shows in Seattle and Portland since 2004. Seen almost every one they've played including Patterson and Cooley solo shows. DBT is one of my very favorite bands and I've seen enough amazing shows to know the differen...

Seattle Feb 3 2018

Played at a classic Seattle venue-The Moore Theater and I gotta say it wasn't their best night. I've seen them a bunch of times and this show felt like they mailed it in. Short set, no encore. Bus was idling out front when we got outside like they were ready to hit the road before the fans were even...

Amazing 32 song set. Save your strength for the Pacific Northwest guys! Hoping to see Perilous Night in Seattle.

No Zip City so far on this leg of the tour. Interesting

Re: Patterson and family moving from Athens to Portland

I'm thrilled for PH and family. Portland is really nice town. Though I live in Seattle now, I've lived in PDX in the past and my first son was born there. Don't believe the Portlandia caricatures any more than y'all down south believe the Dukes of Hazzard is an accurate portrayal of southern folks. ...

Re: Dirt Underneath Tour 2015

Really nice show in Seattle last night. They played at the historic Moore Theater-a 1419 seat venue built in 1909 for the Alaska Yukon exposition. Great acoustics and a beautiful room that was much nicer than the Showbox where they usually play in Seattle. Patterson commented on how much he liked th...

Re: 4/23/14 - Seattle, WA - Showbox SODO

Thanks Cooleygirl. I already knew the history of the song and remember Craig from other times DBT came through town. He sold me merch more than once. The "White Owl" reference was pretty clear. I remember him playing on stage the second night of the "Rock and Roll means well" tou...

Re: 4/23/14 - Seattle, WA - Showbox SODO

Thanks OBL, that makes sense. Not sure where you were last night but could you hear Cooley any better than I could? I was front row in front of Patterson. I'm sure I was getting a lot of the sound from the monitors there and you're right that Jay's guitar was louder than Cooley's. Might have sounded...

Re: 4/23/14 - Seattle, WA - Showbox SODO

I see DBT every time they come to Seattle and catch PH and Cooley solos too. Good crowd tonight though not a sell out. Last time they played Showbox at the market, a smaller venue than SoDo, which I believe they did wind up selling out. Last night was the kind of show they tend to do right after a n...

Re: Cooley in Seattle 2/21/13

Tractor was $20 Only merch was the new album-CD $15 and Vinyl $20 He commented to the crowd near then end how sometimes "his people" can sometimes get out of hand and the he appreciated how the crowd last night made it possible for everybody to enjoy the show. He also talked about how some...

Cooley in Seattle 2/21/13

Mike Cooley played a sold out show at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle last night. The Tractor is the venue that DBT used to play at in the pre-SRO era and has since outgrown. Cooley called it one of the best "hard rock venues in N America". Patterson plays here when he's in town. When PH was...

Re: Patterson Hood & the Downtown Rumblers in Vancouver Sept

Hello SFC- We met in the lineup in Seattle one night a few years back. I'm jealous you got to hear Disney and pay no attention to Alice-though we did get Bonnie last night which you don't hear often at the DBT show. PH joked about the border issues and I talked to the cellist about it after the show...

Patterson Hood in Seattle Oct 1

Patterson Hood opened a 2 night run in Seattle last night - Easily the best show I have seen of him solo. This time around, Hood was backed by the Downtown Rumblers which included Jay Gonzales-keyboards, EZB on the sticks and a Cellist named Jacob Morris. Also on stage with him was the sister act Ho...

Re: Vancouver show

SFC-

Met you outside a Seattle show last year. Glad they came up to see you this time around. I agree that Hell No I Ain't Happy was amazing this tour. It was also the last tune before the encore down here too.

Take care,

Re: Seattle Show

Set list from Seattle. I was pretty hammered so I may have missed a song or two but I was keeping a running list on my phone. I thought the new bass player was very solid. I think I heard David Barbe was sitting in for the March tour temporarily but wouldn't know him on sight. Was it him or do they ...
